Why Come To Curtains Up! ?

Me and my friend started again after a tough, uncomfortable year. I saw God’s greatness in lots of the worship. God also challenged me to be a revolutionary at my dancing and to my non-Christian cousin, aunt and uncle (who I am seeing very soon). - Cast Member 2006

What is Curtains Up! ?

Curtains Up! is a holiday run by Scripture Union for a week in summer in the UK.

We are a performing arts holiday. During the week we run workshops in Backstage, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Film, Music, Music Theatre and Visual Arts

Our aim is to provide a fun and safe environment for people to explore their gifts in the arts and their personal relationship with God.

We have got a fantastic team of over 30 volunteers who come and give their time (and pay to come!) Check out the "Curtains Up! 1999 - 2008" section to see what we have got up to in previous years!

Scripture Union staff and Volunteers work in more that 130 countries to make God's Good News known to children, young people and families. Scripture Union's Work in Britain includes schools work, missions, family ministry, helping Christians to read the bible and supporting the church through training and resources.
Scripture Union has been running holidays for more than 100 years.

CU!08 - Pictures and Videos

The Pictures and Videos from Curtains Up! 2008 are slowly starting to appear on the new website!

We have decided to move them all to the Backstage area of the site - so you will need to sign-up (open to anyone who has been to CU!)

At the moment we have just a few pictures from the Dr Who and Children's TV Theme Nights. We also have the "Happy Valley" video that featured in Matt and Ant's Evening meeting - and the conclusion of the CU! Dr Who Episode - like a lot of the classic Dr Who Episodes - the 1st part is currently missing ....

Watch this space as we will be adding more over the coming days and weeks!

After a couple of late nights - I have got the basics for the new site in place so i have decied to "Go Live" There is still quite a lot to do - so if you spot something odd or not working drop me an email! Unfortunately - the forum and all of your old logins for the old site have gone - so you will need to sign-up again - I am very sorry Let me know what you think and keep an eye out for more changes soon! thanks Matt
